hey, i came 2 southcoates and left in 2004. I had Mr Burrel in yr 6 and he retired wen i left.. It was a great school.

Hi, congratulations Southcoates for being such a good school for such a long time.
I attended Southcoates from 1952 to 1962 in all 3 schools at the time. Infants (now Primary), Juniors and Seniors. After juniors the girls had to go to Flinton Grove Girls school or other schools. Only boys stayed on at Senior Southcoates in my time there.
The school was so full when I went to school that we used to have some lessons at the church hall at St. Aiden's on Southcoates Avenue. Then some Prefab classrooms were built in the playground.

I did one of my first teaching practices at your school and fondly remember my time spent with you all. Keep up the good work!

Hi, I used to go to this school back in late 80's, and I remember the teachers who were there, Mr Rutter, Mr Burrel, Mr Williamson; I think, Mrs Summerbell. I'm amazed by the website.
