Uniform

Just a quick reminder that uniform should be worn every day for school. This consists of: black or grey skirt/trousers, a white shirt/polo-shirt and a maroon sweatshirt or cardigan.

The office sells polo-shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans with the school logo on. They also sell book bags and PE bags.

In their numeracy lesson this week some of the children in Y6 were collecting data. They chose to collect data about the number of children who were not in uniform. These are their findings:

Altogether they surveyed 196 children. 176 of them were in full school uniform – but 20 weren’t. Please try to make sure you are in uniform every day.

Well done to the following children who all received a certificate for good work in last week’s merit assembly:

Tips for helping your child to make good progress and do well in school:

Reading – scary books, comics, joke books, fairy stories, etc – is always good. Encourage your child to read regularly. Perhaps spend 10 to 15 minutes reading before they go to bed (instead of watching the telly!). This could even be extra time on to their bedtime!

As you know, we have been promoting the ‘Once a week - take a peek’ campaign to try and reduce the headlice problem.  I have now been contacted by a local pharmacy who are offering FREE medication to help get rid of headlice if you find any. They will even deliver it for free as well!

If you wish to take advantage of this offer you will need to:

  1. Phone the pharmacy and give them the names and NHS numbers of those requiring the medication.

  2. Give your address if you wish to have the medication delivered, and agree a suitable time for delivery.

  3. Sign for the delivery when it arrives!

Their details are:

Hull Late Night Pharmacy,

124 to 127 Witham.
